Can I braid 3 or 4 bouganavillea stems (4-6 ft long) to make a tree like trunk? Should I remove the thorns and leaves from the stems before braiding? Do I cut back any other stems or old wood? I have seen hibiscus trained this way but I do not know the method used to acieve a bouganavillea tree.
