For the official USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map see

The valley is in zone 9, most in zone 9b but some parts in zone 9a.

Googling using USDA zone +"zip code" brings up a number of links that will 
find your USDA zone.  For example, Zip 85023 is in USDA Zone 9a according to
http://www.garden.org/zipzone/index.php

According to the Sunset Western Gardening book we are in Sunset climate zone 
13.
