I need a large, "unfriendly" plant by a block wall that our neighbor's dog jumps up on to bark and growl at us. I would like to put a prickly pear cactus. There is a narrow strip (about 2' wide) and then the cool deck of the pool.  Is this enough space for a prickly pear to grow without damaging itself or the pool? Thank you.
