[Arid_gardener] 8 foot lemon tree with freeze damage

I have a three year old lemon tree that lost all of its leaves in
the last freeze, here in Tucson.  The entire tree is bare except for a few leaves at the bottom.   Is it likely that some of the branches are dead and should it be pruned.  I did not realize that fertilizer shocks plants until just now.  I fertilized the plant earlier today and watered.  When should I expect to see knew growth.
