[Arid_gardener] question about jacaranda seeds

Two years ago I planted a 15 gallon jacaranda tree in my front yard. I
have heard they can be slow to bloom, but one year after planting, it
bloomed. After flowering, I have noticed hard-sided wavy seed pods. I
have a reasonable amount of back yard space, and lots of time, so
wondered about planting those seeds to start new trees. Is there much
chance of success at that? And if so, do I need to break those hard seed
pods open, or just stick them in the ground, or what?
thanks!
