[Arid_gardener] Pinus radiata Monterey pine?

You might want to check with the nursery and see if you
can get information from them or from the grower for a
definite ID.
Sunset Western Garden Book lits Monterey pine as a
poor risk because of shallow rooting and suseceptible to
pests and disease. Doesn't seem likely that the nursery
would carry it here. Might want to check books or web for
Pinus canariensis or Pinus jeffreyi.
