[Arid_gardener] Question from Home-Hort WWW page

i have 3 ficus trees (large) and 2 honeysuckles (large) which were badly hit by the freeze we had, all thier leaves are brown and dry with alot falling off in winds, there is no new growth on the trees and there is new growth at bottom of honeysuckles
are they dead? or will they get new leaves later or maybe next year,
what should/can i do?
