The winter frost killed two bouganvilla in my yard that were used for screening (I live on a corner lot that backs up to a golf course). I'd rather replace the bouganvilla with a small tree or shrub that is more desert-like. Whatever I would plant would get plenty of water, thanks to a bad watering system on the golf course that routinely spray into my yard. I'm asking for advice because I can't seem to make a decision on my own. Any help you could provide would be welcome. The only requirement is low litter.
