I Bought a 3ft. White Genoa Fig tree about 2 weeks ago and it is still in the pot. It has 9 almost mature figs on it. Should I transplant it now or wait until the figs ripen? I so want to taste these figs and am afraid that they will fall off if I transplant the tree now. I have had a Brown Turkey fig tree for 4 years and it produces figs each year but they drop off when they get 3/4 to 1 in size and never get to mature. I bought the Genoa fig tree in Tucson and it is from Laverne Nusery in California. I live in Mescal, AZ at 4000ft. It usually is about 5 degrees cooler than Tucson which is 30 miles West and has never gotton below 17*F here.
