I bought some Lavendar Trumpet Vines to plant as climbers on a trellis that my husband built, intended to provide a privacy screen.
After reading about this plant on the internet, I'm relunctant to plant it.  In more tropical areas, it seems to be a pest, vines killing trees and roots damaging foundations.  Do I need to worry about this plant harming my concrete patio, in the area we live in?  Is it easier to control here than in a tropical area?
