Dolly: if the soil in your pots is waterlogged a foul smell can arise from rotting
material. Overwatering can lead to this. Make sure your pots drain freely after
watering, and empty any saucers under the pots if they are filled with water.
Most plants prefer not to be in soggy soil.
Hope this helps.

Do I have to empty the soil out to get rid of the foul odor?
