[Arid_gardener] mystery flower/bulb

I bought my house five years ago, and have found some interesting plants
here.  The former owner must have been quite a gardener, as well as an
interesting guy.
I have violets, and oxalis, among other things, and a 'mystery flower'
that I believe may be a member of the garlic family (based on what some
friends said).  My mystery flower comes from a small bulb, looks like
very large grass blades (two foot tall, inch wide grass blades), and has
a white flower that is a big clump of small white flowers.  I do have
photos, if anyone has any ideas, and writes me privately.
