This is what I would do. Let all shoots develop and see what happens. You could end up with something novel or, at least, very interesting.

If you get hard freezes, your tree may not survive outside exposed to the elements but if your winters are frost free or mild, keep it outside but protect it during a cold snap with a sheet or something. Heat and humidity are not a problem assuming you are not a novice gardener and have some idea about proper irrigation. Avocados have relatively shallow roots and must have good drainage properties to avoid root rot..

  I have 3 avacado trees growing.  two of them are coming from the same seed.  do i need to cut the smallest one away from the seed, or should I just leave it alone.  i live in
  south west louisiana.  are my trees going to survive this climate.  If not is there any thing i can do to keep them alive and well.   thank you..
