I live in NE Phoenix and am having trouble with photinia and privet, new and established.  Leaf edges turn brown and get progressively worse until entire branches are affected with leaves finally falling off.  I've lost two photinias and one privet is looking bad.  I water regularly.  Any idea what might be causing the problem?  Too much water, not enough, salt, iron???  Should the soil be tested? If so, where, how?  Thanks.
