[Arid_gardener] Roses in Phoenix

Is there a fragrant climbing rose that will grow in a container on a roof garden in Phoenix?  It would be on a metal trellis type frame, under a porch roof, on the edge of sun.  We also have a sunny spot where we could use some type of fragrant vine.
