We never saw a scorpion in our house until about eight months ago. That was shortly after there was some road construction approximately a quarter mile away. Since then we have encountered a dozen. We had a professional pest control company spray inside and out in early February, and outside the beginning of March. Yesterday we encountered yet another scorpion.
I am thinking we need to spray an insecticide more frequently.
1. What chemical(s) should we use to spray, both inside and out?
2. Where should we spray other than around the base of the house? One person mentioned spraying in the attic.
3. How frequently should we spray.
Please note we have tortoises which are kept in some pens no closer than 30 feet from the house and two tortoises (a Leopard and Herman) that roam freely in the back yard. We would hope to use an insecticide not harmful to the tortoises, however if we have to isolate them from the area for a period of time we can.
Would appreciate any helpful input.
