[Arid_gardener] Pruning Mexican Bird of Paradise and Texas Sage

Hi,

I didn't prune before the blooms.  Even though yours finished blooming a month ago in North
Phoenix, mine is in full bloom now, and really really needs pruning-  in Cave Creek. 
How much can I do AFTER the blooms are spent??????

I read your very valuable page on pruning BOP trees.  You say yours bloomed a month ago in North
Phoenix.  Mine is now in full bloom, in Cave Creek.  The landscape service for our area never came to
prune, and so I am wondering how much I can do after the blooms are spent.  You said "a little" but
mine needs it a LOT.
