Hi Olin,
Help!! My 50' ficus lyrata continues to drop all its gorgeous leaves as a result of a hard freeze 2 weeks ago in Florida--thus the branches are bare.

My question is, does the lyrata "regrow" leaves on bare branches or would it be most beneficial to prudently prune my baby, believing that nature will produce new branches and leaves in the spring? Please don't tell me I should dig up this massive tree and bid a fond farewell. 

I appreciate your suggestions.
