[Arid_gardener] Insects chewing holes into petunias

Hi Fred;

Sounds like you may have cabbage loopers on your petunias. One treatment
that might work well during the cool weather is Bt, a human and pet safe
toxin produced by the bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis. You can find it at
better nurseries and possibly at some of the big box stores. Follow the
label directions exactly for optimal results. In any event, cabbage loopers
rarely kill the plant, they just make them look raggedy. Good luck!
