Hi,
I have over two dozen saguaro cacti. I purchased the seeds from the phoenix garden center and started growing them Jan 1 2001.
Now I started this as a lark, I had heard that the cactus are notoriously difficult to grow. Alas, I have this problem of them doing all too well. They are doing VERY well and are 3 to 4 inches, but I would like them to survive and even thrive, something they are having an increasinglyl hard time doing in dark, cold rainy Portland, OR.
I am going to be in the Tucson and Phoenix area March 16 thru March 22. I would love to return these guys to their birthplace, if possible. I vaguely remember they were from the Black something desert - I meant to keep this info, but somehow it has gotten lost.
ANything you can do to help me with my goal for returning these Saguaros to their desert would be most appreciated. I don't have much time, so time is of the essence to secure these little guys futures.
Thanks, in advance, for your time.
Cheers.
Jean.
