We had several Acacia trees (abut ten years old) trimmed in March by a tree service. One of the trees is dripping sap all over the driveway and a Lantana plant. My husband had sealed the wounds with pruning paint spray and now the sap is dripping like black tar and really making a mess. A little too late I read on your site that it is best to leave the wounds unsealed in this hot and low humidity climate. We live in Anthem, but as you probably have guessed moved here from a cold climate. Can you tell me if there is something we can do to "unseal" these wounds and help them dry up faster??
Thank you for any help you can give.
