I have an "atruim" area, that is 12 feet long, with a growing space that is 2 feet wide, (plus another 3 feet reserved for a walkway), Northern exposure except shielded by a 6 feet high stucco wall. Partial sun. This area is by a huge window off of the master bathroom's jacuzzi (how good does it get). The window by the jacuzzi starts about 2 1/2 feet off of the ground. There was a large rubber plant in this area but it was killed off this past winter. (I'm in East Mesa where it is about 5 degrees cooler than rest of area.) I'm wanting to plant some colorful plants that will grow 3 to 5 feet tall. There is a drip system available, and trellis attached to the wall. I would appreciate ideas on what to plant in there. Would tropical Birds of Paradise work? Is there some kind of vine I coud plant for the wall trellis as a back drop to some colorful plants? I'm from Oregon and have very little clue!!! Would GREATLY appreciate your ideas. Bird bath?
