I seeded about 1.5 months ago with Emerald Zoysia, and it appears that there is another grass growing along side it. The leaves are about 3/8" wide and up to 6" long and has kind of a purple zebra stripe running perpendicular to the length of the leaf and it has a purple shade on the underside of some of the leaf, closer to the center of the plant. It also has a yellow-ish seed area on a somewhat thick shaft. Is this part of the Zoysia, or should I yank this out? What type of grass is it? If I need to pull it, I want to do it sooner than later, as I have a patch of it starting. The roots do not seem very deep when I yanked one out. I wish I could attach a picture, but oh well.
