i realize the notice is abrupt, but is there a chance you might 
shoehorn-in this prominent "FINAL WEEK FOR BTA's  PLANT SALE!!!" item as an 
email to master gardeners and others who'd appreciated it... or perhaps even 
just email the following text to friends, MGs or others in your area who might 
want to take advantage of our plant sale before it ends sunday? 

*** please note that all UA employees (studnnets and staff, too) who show ID 
are admitted free during the plant sale, and that's a savings of $7.50 per 
adult.

Arboretum Plant 
Sale Final Weekend 

Herbs like oregano, rue and orange mint are just $2.50; potted native trees 
including white thorn acacia and mesquite can be found for $25 amongst a wide 
selection during the final weekend of Boyce Thompson Arboretum's annual Fall 
plant sale, which ends Oct. 31. This sale is an important annual fundraiser at 
the Arboretum, a nonprofit institution founded 75 years ago to educate visitors 
about plants and promote botany and conservation. Visitors are reminded that 
admission must be paid to enter the arboretum (even just to buy plants), and 
that entitles visitors to stroll the more than two miles of paths and attend 
weekend events including guided birdwalks both days at 8:30 and general tours 
at 9:30. Admission costs $7.50 for adults, $3 for ages 5-12 and is taken daily 
from 8-4, the Arboretum closes at 5 p.m. Boyce Thompson Arboretum is one hour
due east of Phoenix, right at highway 60 milepost #223 before the town of
