1 SPRING AWARDS BANQUET
Friday, April 4, 6:00pm, AZ Ballroom South. Award recipients: Jim Henness, Bill O'Brien, Bob Stump, Shirley Jo Taylor, AZ 4-H Youth Foundation, Walter Begay, Jr., Paul Rovey, Margy McGonagill, JillXan Donnelly, Jim Riggs. Also scholarship donors and recipients will be recognized. The dinner is $35.00 per person.

2 CALS RECRUITMENT PHON-A-THON
Many thanks to the faculty who helped show prospective CALS students how important they are to us and how much we hope they choose the college as the place to begin their college career next fall. In February, over 400 student applicants for Fall 2003 were elated to find professors calling them at home to congratulate them on their acceptance to the college. The conversations with the students and parents have made an enormous impact on student decisions in the past, and their appreciation was apparent. Thanks to Steve Poe, James Perey, Bob Collier, Glenn Duff, Lance Baumgard, Amy Chandler, Pat Sparks, Wanda Howell, Libby Davison, Rachel Pfister, Jim Riley, Tom Wilson, Alan Matthias, Jim Collins, Elaine Marchello, Jan Decker, Bill Matter, Shelley McGrath, and Joseph Brewer for helping make the phonathon a success.

3 CALS IDEA AWARD
The end of the first quarter is approaching and IDEA award suggestions need to be submitted no later than March 31, 2003. The quarterly IDEA award is for all employees and student majors in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The award is recognized by a stipend of $100.
The IDEA Committee is seeking detailed suggestions for improving operations and management within the college. Guidelines and a submittal form can be found at the URL listed below.
