RESEARCH ASSISTANTS (8) needed 1 April - late August
2003 for long-term population andwil habitat ecology studies of the =
Northern
Spotted Owl in Northwest California, and California Spotted Owl in
the Sierra Nevada, CA.
The pay rate is $1600-1850/mo (depending on experience) based on an =
approximate 40 hr work week. Successful applicants will assist in =
monitoring, banding, and re-sighting spotted owls, and conduct =
vegetation surveys for ongoing research projects. Must be physically =
fit (i.e., able to walk long distances in extremely steep terrain),
take detailed field notes, be able to work at night off trail, have =
excellent hearing, and=20
be able to identify birds by color band. Applicants with a BS (or in
progress) in wildlife, biology, or related fields are preferred. =20
