Background and Interests
 
Dan Austin received a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Botany from Washington University, St. Louis. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Murray State University. His current research focuses on the family Convolvulaceae, and on the plants of the Baboquivari Mountains in the lower Altar Valley, Arizona. Dr. Austin's work has been in several publications including American Journal of Botany, Economic Botany, and Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution.
