Background and Interests
 
Elizabeth Davison received a Master's degree in Plant Sciences here, from the University of Arizona.  She also has two Bachelor's degrees, one in Horticulture from the University of Idaho and the other in Psychology from Miami University. She currently teaches Plant Propagation, Landscape Horticulture, Introductory Horticulture and is the Faculty advisor to the Horticulture Club. She has received several awards and recognition for her work here at the University of Arizona including CALS A+ Advisor Award, for outstanding student advising and the CALS Year-to-Year Appointed Personnel Award for Excellence. She is the founding director of the University of Arizona Campus Arboretum whose mission is the stewardship of the 400 species of trees on campus.

Her goals are to continue teaching traditional and non-traditional students each semester. She will focus on appropriate horticulture practices in the southwest. Her audiences include industry professionals, master gardeners, homeowners, and UA students. The subject is far-ranging and includes everything from choosing low-water plant material to appropriate tree care. Extension programs include several yearly events and regularly scheduled workshops.
