| Robert
Leonard received a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Illinois,
Urbana-Champaign in 1971. He also has a Master's and a Bachelor's
degree in Agronomy from the University of Rhode Island. Following
postdoctoral studies at Purdue University he joined the faculty at
the University of California, Riverside. He moved to the University
of Arizona in 1994 to assume responsibilities as head of the department.
He teaches Plants and Our World, Introductory Cell and Molecular Biology
and he organizes the Department Seminar.
