Water Quality and Consumer Use of Lawn and Garden Chemicals

Consumer use of plant nutrients and pesticides can intensify declining water quality. Proper application and disposal of lawn and garden chemicals is imperative to minimize their effect on the water supply. proper plant selection and proper cultural practices can greatly reduce the need for fertilizer and pesticide. All homeowners share the responsibility of helping maintain a clean water supply.
