What is "Trichomics"?

Trichomics is the study of all things related to plant trichomes, in the post-genomics age. How do trichomes grow and develop? What different types of trichomes exist on plant surfaces? How do hairy trichomes differ from glandular trichomes? How are they similar? How is metabolism structured, regulated and controlled in plant trichomes of different types? What cool compounds do different types of trichomes make?

This site is dedicated to sharing information about plant trichomes, their functions on plants, their metabolism, and their importance for human health, medicine and agriculture.

This is a new site that is still under major construction, so please check back as we add more information.

This site is maintained by Dr. David Gang. If you are interested in contributing information to this web site, or if you have questions or comments please contact him.
