Lab results impact on all project personnel.

I chose the University of Arizona because of the prospect to work with their most distinguished faculty. The SWES department had everything I was looking for with great professors and facilities that will certainly prepare me well for the workforce. However, not only have I developed and honed my core skills but I've met inspiring and dedicated friends. I've found my colleagues to be friendly professionals who help support and motivate each other. I've enjoyed the rich opportunities I've had for a broad mix of experiences and the chance to learn so much about the world of Environmental Science so quickly. The experience has been challenging along the way but incredibly rewarding as well. I have definitely learned a lot since the beginning of my Ph.D studies but I still look forward to how much more there is yet to be accomplished.

Projects: I am currently working in disinfection projects testing the antimicrobial activity of copper, silver, ultraviolet light and ozone against numerous pathogenic microorganisms including bacteria and viruses. In addition, I have performed studies on the effectiveness of a natural peptide based product as a fruit and vegetable sanitizer.
