Movie 1. In vitro pollen tube guidance assay monitors ovule targeting by pollen tubes.

Time-lapse imaging of GFP-tagged pollen tubes emerging from the cut portion of the pistil, travelling across the agarose medium before approaching a subset of excised ovules.

In this instance, pollen tubes grew within 100 µm only near two of the six ovules; of these two, only one was successfully targeted.
