Extracurricular

Race Track Industry students form a close-knot group who enjoy their time in and out of the classroom. On weekends you can find the students spending time together at race tracks like Turf Paradise and Rillito Park; they also travel together to attend major races outside of the state such as the Kentucky Derby, Breeder's Cup, All American Futurity, and the Little Brown Jug.

It is not uncommon to find groups of RTIP students at University of Arizona athletic events, poker games, and all of the other typical college student activities.

Since RTIP students share a common passion, the friendships they make during their time in the RTIP last long after graduation. In 2007, RTIP alums returned to Tucson to memorialize a classmate for the inaugural running of the Pete Selin Memorial Happy Minute Stakes at Rillito Park.

The friends you make during your time in the RTIP will be your friends for life.
