Scholarship Information

The University of Arizona provides access to a full range of federal, state, and privately donated financial aid funds to its students through the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA). Assistance is available to students based on financial need, academic merit, and program of study.

What you need:

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Be sure the information is for the appropriate year in which the student is applying for UA admission (www.fafsa.ed.gov).

When to apply:

High school students should apply during the spring semester of their senior year. The FAFSA cannot be sent before January 1st. You must apply early to meet the priority deadline of March 1st. Since funding for various programs is limited, we recommend you send the FAFSA by February 14th of your senior year to meet the March 1st priority date.

What to apply for:

By completing the FAFSA, you are applying for federal grants, loans, and work-study. The student may also be eligible for other state grants and/or scholarship funds.

Applying for CALS scholarships (http://cals.arizona.edu/OAP/scholarships/info.html) is an important step in your scholarship application process. Scholarship awards range from $2,000–$5,000 per year.
