| The sites
listed below contain examples of Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML)
and Chemspace Chime applications, primarily in the area of molecular modeling.
This is the same technology that was used to view images from the recent
Mars Pathfinder mission.
You will need to have a VRML "plug-in" loaded in your web browser in order to view these images. If you don't have VRML software plugged in, you will just see an icon in the area where the figure should appear. In some web browsers, such as Netscape 3.0, a second window will open up listing sites from which you can down load the appropriate software. Once you have your plug-in loaded, the image should appear with a "tools" bar along the bottom. In Cosmo, for example, click on the "examine" button in the tool bar and then click and drag (i.e., hold the mouse button down) on the image to make it rotate. |
