Our Mission Statement
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS)
Staff Council exists to enhance communication between staff and administration regarding the role of classified staff. We hope to enable staff to improve the quality of their work environment and elevate the morale and spirit of cooperation in CALS. Our specific goals include but are not limited to:
- Developing policies for orientation and training opportunities for staff
- Promoting and supporting staff mentoring and networking
- Maintaining regular interaction with the dean, the Executive Council, and staff regarding staff issues
- Promoting and supporting staff recognition activities
- Enhancing career progression through personal and professional development activities
- Promoting staff representation on relevant committees
- Maintaining open lines of communicationat all times
