Environment Arizona Field Associate
Environment Arizona, a state-wide, citizen-based environmental advocacy organization, is seeking a full-time Field Organizer to work in our Phoenix office on campaigns to protect Arizona's state parks, increase our use of solar energy and other critical environmental issues. The University of Florida Soil and Water Science Department (SWSD) is seeking applicants at [Assistant or Associate Professor level] for a 12-month, tenure-track position specializing in pedology with environmental applications. The incumbent will develop an interdisciplinary research program focusing on innovative applications of pedological principles to agricultural, environmental, and ecological issues related to sustainability of subtropical ecosystems. Teaching duties will include undergraduate and graduate soil science courses (three courses per year) either on campus or in distance education format. Yuma Product Development. This position entails scheduling, planting, and evaluating field trials with experimental and commercial varieties of lettuce seed. The position involves interaction with growers, shipper representatives, and harvesters. Ability to write business reports needed. Fundamental farming knowledge is useful. An understanding of lettuce quality components is desired. Bachelors degree in plant science preferred but not necessarily required. This is a full time, year round position based in Yuma, Arizona.
