Positions Available: There are currently a number of graduate and undergraduate student positions available in the Environmental Pedology Laboratory. Potential projects include: Quantifying soil organic carbon stabilization mechanisms with a specific focus on the interaction between mineral surfaces and organic materials; Quantifying how topography and climate control the spatial distriubtion of soil depth, mineral weathering and organic carbon sequestration in semiarid watersheds; Modeling the interaction among soil physical properties, climate, and aboveground productivity in semiarid ecosystems; Internships in the Center for Environmental Physics and Mineralogy (CEPM) working on a wide range of projects;
