Positions Available:

There are currently a number of graduate and undergraduate student positions available in the Environmental Pedology Laboratory. Potential projects include:

Quantifying soil organic carbon stabilization mechanisms with a specific focus on the interaction between mineral surfaces and organic materials;

Quantifying how topography and climate control the spatial distriubtion of soil depth, mineral weathering and organic carbon sequestration in semiarid watersheds;

Modeling the interaction among soil physical properties, climate, and aboveground productivity in semiarid ecosystems;

Internships in the Center for Environmental Physics and Mineralogy (CEPM) working on a wide range of projects;

Contact Craig Rasmussen (crasmuss@cals.arizona.edu) for more information.
