Making a Difference together
The Soil, Water and Environmental Science Club is a student run organization that serves to build relationships between students and faculty, educate students and others about the environment, and connect students with professional organizations as well as the community.
What We Do
The SWES club unites students with one common goal: to learn and educate others about environmental aairs while being active in our college community. We aim to inspire others to share our passion of making our lives more sustainable and the world more beautiful. We are the oldest environmental club on campus. The club was created for environmental science majors, but we are open to students of all majors. Activities include camping, spelunking, socials, trips, volunteer events, cooperation with other environmental clubs on campus, hiking, soils judging events, and more! Providing a service for its students as well, SWES club aims to be a resource for you. Keeping a close cooperation with our faculty and , SWES club provides an outlet for you to further your involvement with your department your faculty. We provide a forum to share opportunities and options for your future. Soil Judging team is a branch of SWES Club intended to stimulate students knowledge of soil properties, soil importance, and how to manage soils. The SURC: Student Undergraduate Resource Center
Stop by between classes or after a long day and hang out, get some work done, mingle with others, and take a load off. The SURC is located in Room 110 of Saguaro Hall. We provide a refrigerator, coffee-maker, microwave, and other amenities for your convenience and comfort.
Our computer center is located in the adjoining room and is equipped with computers, printer, paper, and a library of books and resources for you to use. Stop in anytime.
