Annual Plan Cy 1976 Walker Basin (S) Allotment This plan outlines the range management and improvement work to be accomplished during the 1976 grazing season. Permitted NumbersThree hundred and sixty-two (362) head of cattle (295 V-V and 67 Sullivan) are permitted on the summer allotment for a period of June l through October 31. In addition to the numbers above, there are private land permits to cover seven (7) horses (V-V) and forty-eight (48) head of cattle (39 V-V and 9 Sullivan). Movement of CattleHorse Knoll 6/1 - 7/15 Pine 7/15 - 9/30 Steer and Heifer 10/1 - 10/15 Snake Ridge 10/16 - 10/30 Cattle should be moved through the Steer and Heifer pastures as quickly as possible in the fall. All stock should be out of these pastures by 10/15 and out of Snake Ridge by 10/30. Range Improvement Maintenance and Construction1. SaltingSalt shall not be placed on water. Areas of light use should be salted. Salt should be moved to coincide with increased use of an area. HorsesAll horses will be kept in the designated horse pastures until fall shipping. During Shipping horses may be kept where they are most convenient for use. FireControlled forest use may be necessary during the summer due to high fire danger. The permittee will be contacted if this action is necessary.
