Annual Grazing Plan 1984 Winter AllotmentCoconino National Forest February 6, 1984 Mr. William M. Sullivan Dear Bill and Kelley: This letter will confirm our discussions in January regarding livestock stocking and management for the ranch. This will also serve as the Annual Management Plan for the 1984-1985 grazing season on the Walker Basin Winter Allotment. The following livestock numbers are permitted on the winter allotment in 1984-1985, contingent on payment of next year's grazing fees:
Management on the Walker Basin Winter Allotment will be as outlined below:
The bulls will be placed with the cow herd and heifers after 4/15/84. This pasture management system is set up to start you into the new management plan as proposed. We hope that you can start to follow this plan this year. As we calculated when you made application, you will be 21 head over your permitted numbers, if you purchase the 6 additional bulls you said you mere going to purchase. This 21 head includes 15 head of cattle and the 6 head of horses. All cattle movements will be made in a timely manner and should correspond with the dates outlined above. Any change in this system of grazing needs to be first approved by the District Range Staff or the Ranger. Again this year we want to remind you that caution with fire is advised while carrying out your operations. You are responsible for any fire damage that may result from your actions. Should any fire restrictions be imposed, we will let you know. If you have any questions or problems regarding this plan, call our office. Good luck with this year's grazing season. Sincerely, D. M.
