Range Improvements

The following is a list of range improvements planned for during 1986:

  1. Cedar Flat Division Fences
  2. Cedar Flat Tank Waterlot
  3. 2,000 acres of Juniper Maintenance
  4. Reconstruction of Allotment Fences #58 and 68

All existing range improvements as assigned to you in your term permit, should be checked on a continuing basis and maintained as needed to a good functioning condition. Should these improvements reguire major reconstruction, they should be brought to the District's attention so their reconstruction can be scheduled. All costs of maintaining existing range improvements is the responsibility of the permittee.

Salting and Supplemental Feeding

All salt and/or supplemental feed will be placed at least 1/4 mite away from water, roads, canyon bottoms, or locations where cattle tend to concentrate, This salting policy will be followed unless otherwise authorized by the District Ranger. You are encouraged to use salt as a management tool to help locate Ilvestock on feed or in areas of light use.

Other

You are reminded to use caution with fire while carrying out your operations, as you are responsible for any damage which results from your use of fire. Should the Forest Service impose any fire restrictions, we will let you know.

If you have any questions regarding this plan, please feel free to contact our office and discuss them.

Sincerely,

D.M. Howard
