Design of Onsite Wastewater Systems

As a current or potential designer of onsite wastewater treatment systems in Arizona, you are invited to participate in this 2-day introductory course on designing onsite wastewater treatment and dispersal systems. The course will use lecture, examples, and case studies to introduce participants to designing in Arizona using the Arizona code adopted in November 2005. Homework will be used to provide practical application of material learned.
The course will emphasize residential design of a conventional system (septic tank followed by a trench), but will discuss methods to overcome site limitations identified in the State Uniform Soil/Site Investigation Report.
To be eligible to take this class, you need to have completed both the NAWT Inspection Training & Certification and the Soil & Site Evaluation for Onsite Wastewater Treatment classes. Enrollment will be limited to 50 people.
Cost: $300 for registration. Registration includes workshop, manual, optional exam, and breaks. Lunch is on your own. Multiple employees from same company receive 10% discount for the same workshop. State, county, and city employees receive a $50 per person discount.

Meeting Times: 8-5 both days.
Policies: No onsite registrations accepted. Registration will be confirmed upon receipt of fees. Cancellations within one week of workshop will result in half refund of fee paid.

Other Certification: This workshop qualifies for 16 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for Arizona Wastewater Treatment Operators and for about 14.4 hours of Continuing Education Units for Arizona Registered Sanitarians.
