  • High turbidity in Verde River
  • Heavy metals (As, Be, Cu, Hg, Mn, Pb, Zn) in several streams
  • Ex-urban growth
  • High nutrient levels in several lakes
Classes: Contact Yavapai County Extension or MWS State Coordinator for details. MWS will be partnering with the Oak Creek Watershed Council to offer a MWS Program for Oak Creek in the Sedona area in early 2011.

Projects:

  • Organization of a free Well Water Testing Program utilized by more than 1,200 private well owners
  • Active participation with 24 stakeholder groups and watershed partnerships within Yavapai County
  • Involvement with the Oak Creek project funded by ADEQ
  • School Water Audit Program
  • In-classroom presentations
