Major Arizona Watersheds and Rivers

Much of the state of Arizona falls within the Colorado River watershed.

Several subwatersheds, watersheds that are nested with the Colorado River watershed, are located in Arizona. These watersheds drain to the major rivers within the state, including the Little Colorado River, the Gila River, the Salt River, the San Pedro River, the Verde River, and the Santa Cruz River.
