Where to start
A youth garden project can become an additional classroom which demonstrates what humans and plants need for survival.

When children (and adults, too!) discover the origins of our food and learn about plants (especially the ones we eat), they gain an understanding of our connection to the earth we share.

Here are ways to incorporate nutrition education into your youth garden experience.
