  7. In 1994, the Arizona Water Efficient Plumbing Act (AWEPA) went into effect statewide. All municipal providers are required to comply with this Act. Table 4 refers to ordinances that either were in effect prior to the effective date of the AWEPA or ordinances with restrictions that exceed those required under the AWEPA. back to text
