Burned in 1994. Mesquite sprouts; most of Haplopappus tenuisectus gone due to fire (a few under trees); all grasses are Eragrostis lehmanniana. M. McClaran.

Dominant grass is cottontop mainly present under cactus, shrubs and mesquite. No Acacia. Compared to 2000, less Lehmann lovegrass, and dead burroweed. M. McClaran photographer, no assistant.

Camera above witness. Mesquite alive and re-sprouting from 1994 fire. Snakeweed right center, prickly pear present. Dominant grass is cottontop mainly present under cactus, shrubs and mesquite, some Lehmannn lovegrass as well. Tree in right far distance in 1948 picture, was visible from witness in 1960 and 1986, but not 2000, it was top-killed in 1994 fire, and now how 8-10 foot sprouts growing next to remains of large burned stems but these are not visible from witness post. Tree in right far distance in 1948 picture, was visible from witness in 1960 and 1986, but not 2000, it was top-killed in 1994 fire, and now has 10 foot sprouts growing next to remains of large burned stems but these are not visible from witness post.
