Cilantro Tilapia Recipe #89577

I created this dish in my own kitchen when trying to come up with a tasteful, low-calorie dinner. It's delicious!
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 (4 ounce) tilapia fillets, fresh
2 tablespoons garlic salt
2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
black pepper, to taste
1 bunch cilantro

4 servings Change size or US/metric

17 minutes 5 mins prep

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Coat the bottom of a baking dish with olive oil.
  3. Place the tilapia fillets in the pan.
  4. Sprinkle desired amount of garlic salt, cajun seasoning, and pepper over tilapia pieces.
  5. Press several sprigs of cilantro on top of each piece.
  6. Bake tilapia for 8 to 12 minutes.
  7. Enjoy alone or with lemon!

***** It is rare that I can buy Tilapia in my small town but it was on sale frozen and I snapped it up. We love Cilantro and it was lovely on the fish. I was liberal with the Cajun seasoning and used fine roasted garlic powder instead of garlic salt. I have more Tilapia in the freezer and just may do this recipe again - Thanks Mollyjoe for a new taste sensation Jun 27, 2005, 1 member found this helpful
